When we talk about 'family' a picture of the three bears living peacefully in a cottage, pops up in our mind. But alas Goldilocks has to come skipping around. Whether it be a fairy tale or real life a family has to deal with problems as a whole. For the three bears it was only Goldilocks but for us humans there are multiple problems that a family faces.
The most neglected yet the most blatant cause of family unhappiness is that the members of a family do not spend the appropriate amount of time with each other. The fathers do not have time for their kids because their jobs are too demanding. The mothers are either busy dusting the cobwebs off the walls or they are busy gossiping around the neighbourhood. Whatsoever may be the reasons the parents get so very tired throughout the day that they do not have the ears to listen to their kids, or to each other for that matter. As for the children, they are too lost in their gadgets to care about much. This ultimately leads to fighting if even one of the family member is disturbed during-or after- their 'labours.'
The second big reason behind a desolate family is that the family members do not acknowledge each others' efforts or pains. The father thinks he is the most hardworking and that his pains are the greatest. The mother thinks alike while the children think that they're studies require a lot of effort and that they are bestowing a favour upon their parents by studying. To achieve the goal of being a happy family it is necessary for every person to realize that every one is doing the best they can and that every one is equally burdened by their own responsibilities.
Last but not the least comes the amusing prospect of 'family politics.' It is most entertaining for an outsider to see that a family is quarreling among themselves. And so while you are busy mocking your daughter in law, people are using you as their favourite television channel. (It is like the Capital watching the Hunger Games)
These in my opinion are the chief causes of family unhappiness. However it is up to the members of a family to solve their problems and it is entirely their responsibility to maintain a peaceful atmosphere in their house. It will help people to keep in mind that no outsider will come to solve their problems for them.

Very well written! This is a very interesting topic, and you have written really well on it. I really enjoyed reading it. It's a brilliant idea to post your essays on your blog.
ReplyDeleteIn the fourth line of the second paragraph, '...because there jobs..' should be '...because their jobs..'
Keep posting!! :)
Just wondering, how long did it take you to write it? (Cause I can never finish any writing within it's deadline!)
DeleteHey Thanks for commenting and I'll check out that mistake. Btw it took me almost I guess... 20-30mins. I don't remember but I can finish within deadlines I'm sure of that as I've tested myself more than a few times.
DeleteThat's amazing! I've been trying to improve my speed lately.
