Sleep: the Brain's Way of a Bath and Tips for Betterment

Hi guys! so we've been hearing that sleep is necessary for quite a matter of time now. The question that arises is how does sleep help, what is the scientific theory for this? Being young we need explanations, or else we get bored of the adults scolding us on seemingly petty issues, so I searched for an answer to this question and this is what I found out. When we are awake and our conscious is working, small metabolic toxins develop in the spaces between are brain cells. This does not allow our brain to function properly. This also makes it harder for us to learn or study something. But there is a way to get rid of these toxins which do not let you think. The way is sleep. When you sleep the size of your neural cells automatically decreases, hence increasing the space in between them. This allows a fluid to pass through your brain from the very back of your head. This fluid cleanses your mind so that you wake up refreshed and also so that you are able to think clearly. Withou...

Chief Causes of Family Unhappiness

When we talk about 'family' a picture of the three bears living peacefully in a cottage, pops up in our mind. But alas Goldilocks has to come skipping around. Whether it be a fairy tale or real life a family has to deal with problems as a whole. For the three bears it was only Goldilocks but for us humans there are multiple problems that a family faces. The most neglected yet the most blatant cause of family unhappiness is that the members of a family do not spend the appropriate amount of time with each other. The fathers do not have time for their kids because their jobs are too demanding. The mothers are either busy dusting the cobwebs off the walls or they are busy gossiping around the neighbourhood. Whatsoever may be the reasons the parents get so very tired throughout the day that they do not have the ears to listen to their kids, or to each other for that matter. As for the children, they are too lost in their gadgets to care about much. This ultimately leads to fight...

The Pleasures and Disappointments of Shopping

'Shopping' the very name makes people smile especially women. It is considered to be a pleasant pastime and it is a cheap form of entertainment excessively available. Then there is the newly introduced term of 'retail therapy' spending your money on shopping to reduce stress. Shopping is an escape for the depressed souls of most housewives and they strongly believe in retail therapy. However shopping does not only engage grown women but is also widely favoured by the youth. The youngsters again majorly females fell it is necessary to keep up with the latest fashion trends whether it suits them or not because of course, it makes them look cool! The colourful cosmetics, glittering jewelry, and new clothes seem to mesmerize young girls as much as it mesmerizes grown women. Shopping may be a respite from the usual routine and the usual boredom but as it exists in this world and not in Utopia, it is bound to have some disappointing prospects. The most irritating thing ...

The Latest News of Pakistan: Heat, Death and Rainmaking

Karachi, Friday 26th: Lately, death has taken its toll in the province of Sindh. Sinch last week over two thousand people have died due to heat strokes or droughts, and load shedding only adds to the misery. The heat of June has been growing unbearable for the public, with no rain and less winds. Thus the government of Pakistan and the NDMA(Natural Disaster Management Authority) have decided to try out cloud seeding for the first time in Pakistan. But what is cloud seeding? Cloud Seeding is also known as chemical rain, rainmaking, or artificial precipitation. Cloud Seeding is away to produce artificial rain, mostly done to avoid droughts, increase reservoir irrigation water, increase water supply capacity or to increase water levels for power generation.
